VP Debate Ticket Lottery

All audience tickets for the 2008 vice presidential debate are the responsibility of the Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD). The commission determines who will receive the extremely limited number of tickets. There is no guarantee that the university will receive any tickets. If there are any tickets assigned to Washington University, they will go entirely to our students through a lottery process.

In order to receive a debate ticket, students must register their interest in a ticket by 12:00 pm (noon) CDT on Friday, September 26, 2008, and be selected through a subsequent lottery of all those who have expressed interest. Only those students who have registered their interest in obtaining a ticket and are currently enrolled at Washington University at the time the lottery is run on Friday, September 26, 2008 will be eligible for tickets.

To register your interest in a Debate ticket, log into WebSTAC and click on the Debate 2008 menu item, then follow the on-screen instructions. Debate ticket lottery registration will be open from 8:30 am Monday, April 14, 2008 until 12:00 pm (noon) Friday, September 26, 2008.
